REALLY GREAT FRIED CHICKEN!!! Even the breast was juicy, not over cooked. I also enjoyed the Fried Fish. The Green Beans were well seasoned and the Broccoli casserole was cheesy. The Mashed Potatoes tasted like real potatoes.
The desserts weren't anything special and didn't seem like any of it was homemade, except the Pecan Bar. The server was friendly, but gave us our space. She made sure our glass was always full.
I suggest you do like us and make a reservation. They seated us immediately. This was our first visit, but won't be out last. -

The Greyhound Tavern is great place to take your mother for dinner. It has a charm from an older time period. The waiters are well dressed, the lay out friendly but conservative. Family seating and some family based meals are available.
I went for a work evening event. Part of our table split the family style chicken and sides. Their chicken, as always, was very well cooked and moist. It was well seasoned. The green beans and mashed potatoes were served on the side and with family style, they have unlimited refills. Four of us ate from the family serving and we still had three pieces of chicken left to take home. The serving size on the green beans and mashed potatoes (white gravy on side) was rather small but they do refill them quickly.
The others at our table who order steak or fish were also very happy with their meals. The waiter was helpful without being intrusive.
I like the Greyhound Tavern and the food is always good but I rarely go unless someone else suggests it. I'm not sure why but it may be that I always feel like I should have a group when I go and not just me.
Good food, great family or family event dinner location. Good food, okay service. Pricing is appropriate for quality. -

Great place for dinner! I guess It is 98 year old tavern. We had the pecan crusted chicken and the pork chops. We tried both hot and cold coleslaw. Everything was excellent. Staff are very professional

Such a cute little place! If you're looking for a place that won't be too busy durning brunch, opens early and takes reservations this is a good spot. It's close to the airport and good for big groups. I had the vanilla bean French toast and it was amazing! The biscuits and gravy were also tasty. And of course, the Bloody Mary didn't disappoint. Service was a little slow, but I attribute that to the no rush "southern" pace.

They use canned green beans, all seafood comes in frozen. They do use home fries for mashed potatoes. Only 1 desert is made in house. They only cook bacon once maybe twice a week and let it sit out.
